After spending some incredible time behind the wheel of this DAX Tojeiro, it's time for me to pass it on to someone else who can appreciate it just as much as I have.

For over 30 years, DAX has been known for recreating the legendary AC Cobra, and this 2008 Tojeiro is a prime example of their work. Finished in a stunning black with the classic double stripe and orange highlight, this car turns heads wherever I have taken it. Powered by a 5.0-litre Chevrolet small block engine, it’s mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox that provides one of the most engaging driving experiences I’ve ever had. The short gears and perfect clutch makes driving it mad but controllable, and the side exhausts deliver an unimaginable growl that outshines any radio (I've never used the cleverly hidden radio that is behind the dashboard). With around 350bhp and plenty of torque, the performance is every bit as exhilarating as the sound.

This car had a full rebuild by Classic Car Restorations in 2015, at a cost of £25,000. Since then, it’s covered just 3,500 miles, so it’s still in fantastic condition, ready for the next owner to enjoy. Inside, the grey leather dash and seats give it a sophisticated feel, while the harness seatbelts and polished roll bars add to the car’s race-inspired look. The Halibrand-style wheels, blacked-out with spinners, complement the low, wide stance of the car perfectly. And with the removable hardtop, it really stands out, especially with its matching colour to the rest of the car.
